Statement of Purpose: The Casper Glattfelder Association Of America's Board of Directors has responded to requests and inquiries suggesting a webpage for the sharing of information regarding the heritage of the family. It is our intent to one day have a complete family history online for research. We are, at present, including basic contact. The Glattfelders in America: The Descendants of Two Brothers, Johan Peter and Casper Glattfelder; and Their Uncle, Hans Heinrich; and Others Don and Jeanine Hartman 45 “Soon after arriving in America, Casper remarried. With Anna Maria, whose maiden name we don't know, he had six sons (including one, Jacob, who died young). Most Glattfelders trace their roots through one of the sons: Solomon, who was born in in Switzerland, or Felix, John, Henry, Michael or Casper, born between and in York County.
The Casper Glattfelder Association of America just celebrated the th anniversary of its immigrant ancestor coming to America in The Glattfelders – or Glatfelters, Gladfelters. In , we published our then collected descendants of these two men, which totaled ab in a book called Glattfelders in America. We had plenty of information on two of John Peter's sons, Felix and Johan Rudolph, who went to North Carolina. We had information on John Peter's daughter, Barbara, who stayed in York County, Pennsylvania. The book’s cover shows an early pavilion on the property near Casper Glattfelder’s original farm at Glatfelter Station, North Codorus Township.
